This is an instance where real life matches up with the curriculum pacing guide. Hurricanes Harvey & Irma are in the news about the same time our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders are learning about land forms, weather and destructive forces in nature.

Can you believe it's already September?
I realize many of you are looking forward to making SLIME this rotation. However, due to schedule changes brought on by CogAT, ITBS, and other parent meetings being held in the Media Center over the next three weeks, we MAY have to defer the slime experience until we see you again in November. It's a messy process and not one we can easily transport to your classroom for enrichment.
You will still have the opportunity to make something this rotation as part our "If You Give A Dog A Donut" unit.

Activity: Create your own donut using the templates and materials provided. Write about your experience, describing your donut and why it is your favorite. You will have an opportunity to edit your masterpiece before sharing with the class.
