On Wednesday, a letter went home in your child's green folder discussing the sudden death of a staff member's adult child who was a familiar face at Hayes. To assist you in speaking with your child about this sensitive topic, the Media Center offers a collection of books that staff and parents may check-out. Please see a member of the Media Staff to access this collection.
Please remember that you are always welcome (and strongly encouraged) to reach out to your child's grade level professional school counselor for additional assistance.

On March 4th, the First Lady of Georgia, Mrs. Sandra Deal visited Hayes Elementary to share the story Who I'd Like to Be by Elizabeth Brown. At the conclusion of her visit, Mrs. Deal donated a copy of the book to each kindergarten classroom and the Media Center. By the way, the book is available for check-out! CobbEdTV was also here to record the event. You can watch the video clip here. Mrs. Spencer
