Our Mission To create a community of life-long learners through fostering a love of reading and equipping students with the skills necessary to succeed in today's digital world.
Resources In the Media Center, we offer multiple instructional areas, look-up stations, tablet computers, and a mobile SmartBoard unit with portable a/v system. Our collection is comprised of over 16,000 items including books, magazines, videos, DVDs, digital audiobooks, equipment and instructional materials to support the curriculum and personal information needs.
May 2016 update: Area rugs and maker space materials are here! New tables are on order! The gigantic book order is in being filled by the vendor. Exciting things are in store as we adopt a Learning Commons look and feel.
Here, students and teachers choose books and magazines for pleasure reading, research to find information on a specific topic, work on projects, check out materials, and so much more. The Media Center has an automated check-out and cataloging system. Teachers and students may search for library books and materials from any computer with internet access or on a mobile device that has the Destiny app installed (app is available through the iTunes or GooglePlay stores).
Hours The Media Center is open from 7:20 a.m. until 2:20 p.m. daily and operates on a semi-fixed schedule. We see one class of each grade level daily as part of the enrichment rotation. The library is open for general student use when scheduled classes/events are not in session.
Library Materials Policies
Students may check out two books at a time.
Books may be kept for two weeks and may be renewed if no one else has requested the book.
Overdue fines are not charge; however, overdue materials must be returned before checking out new books.
Books and items checked-out to a student are his/her responsibility. Lost and damaged items must be paid in full. Please see a member of the Media Staff for more information.
